S.E.L.O. - Speaking English Language Overseas! Lyceum1of Bratske, Mykolaiv Region

      22 жовтня 2023 року команда учнів та вчителів англійської мови нашого ліцею розпочала участь в міжнародному україно- американському проєкті “Мова без кордонів S.E.L.O." - Speaking English Language Overseas! Мета проєкту – допомогти дітям з невеликих українських міст і сіл покращити рівень володіння англійською, проводячи щотижневі віртуальні бесіди з носіями мови зі Сполучених Штатів.

      "The countries we have visited and would like to visit" was the topic our team discussed together with our Super volunteer Dianne Kelley from the USA! Germany, Ireland, Japan, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Armenia, Greece, even Brazil and, of course,the USA! Students were really excited to hear that it's possible to travel through 11 different countries in the world — all in one day in a theme park Epcot, Walt Disney World, Florida! It's interesting that the cast members typically come from the country you're visiting and are always eager to talk about their homeland in their native language! Students also talked about their favourite books and films. It was a real fun to watch them sharing their thoughts and common interests with Dianne! Thank you,Inna Golovakha, for all your energy and support in promoting English language learning for Ukrainian students!

S.E.L.O. Speaking English Language Overseas

Saturday meetings is such an enjoyable time spent together with our volunteer Dianne Kelley ! Today's was devoted to " Hobbies and interests." Great memories from the childhood, new opportunities and experiences ,goals and achievements were the main points to share and discuss. Passion for music is a common hobby for most of our students as well as our volunteer! Learning English idioms and phrasal verbs on the topic with Dianne was interesting and exciting!— з Inna Golovakha. Ukrainian flag on the roof of the house in Dianne's neighborhood is really touching!
